He is the doctor on Babylon 5 and he is adamant about saving lives, Even during the War (Earth/Minbari) he would not let out his notes that could be used to made a bio genetic various that could wipeout the Minbari. (Sometimes I wonder how is worse the shadows or the Humans.)

But when he is on Babylon 5, sometime in the series he starts to take a drug called "stims" in which he gave up to prevent himself from being found out. Also he does a little helping of Rogue Telepaths from time to time.

((Later in 2260, Franklin was brutally stabbed in down below trying to help someone. As he lay dying, he met himself, and decided he didn't like what he saw. After "talking with himself" he decided he wanted to try again, and crawled and stumbled into a public area where he was taken into Medlab for treatment. ))

Franklin later rejoined the command staff in his former position.
